On a beautiful autumn day in 2025, Ceremony partnered with Soho House, Batoka Africa, and R&R Beauty for a collaborative member’s event hosted at the historic Dorp Hotel in Cape Town.
Ceremony was invited as the official beverage partner for the occasion, where we served our iced ceremonial-grade matcha throughout the day. The event unfolded on the terraces and living spaces of the hotel, creating an unhurried atmosphere to network in one of Cape Town's most historic spaces.
The Dorp Hotel itself is set above the city in the Bo-Kaap and carries a layered history. Its interiors and gardens feel more like a curated collection of lived-in rooms and spaces rather than a conventional hotel. We are continuously inspired by their eclectic design style. This space created the perfect backdrop for an event centred around community and networking.
The event was held as part of Soho House’s Cities Without Houses programme and was organised in partnership with the brand's Cape Town liaison, Carey Townsend. Cities Without Houses is orchestrated to support a series of culture and wellness-focused networking events across the city.
Ceremony was also involved in a seasonal collaboration that took place in December 2025. At this event, Soho House Cities Without Houses hosted a holiday wreath-making workshop and end-of-year gathering for its Cape Town members. Alongside this festive workshop, we served our original Ceremony iced matcha lattes with a festive twist.
